Melissa Ann Marcum

1967 – 2016

Melissa Ann Robertson-Marcum, 49 of Fort Gay passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

She was born in Louisa on August 17, 1967 to the late Floyd Robertson, Jr. and Brady Stone Robertson. Melissa was a homemaker and loved her family dearly.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one nephew David Jordan.

Survivors include her husband Billy Craig Marcum of Fort Gay; one daughter Heather Resheay Marcum-Castle  of Louisa; one son Taylor Marcum of Fort Gay; two grandchildren Braiden Ryan Castle and Kylan Castle; eight siblings Kim and Toni Cantrell, Becky Robinson, Diane Young, Tina Ball, Phyllis Derifield, Gary and James Robertson; nieces and nephews Rena Harper. Tessa Ball, Devon Robinson, Kayla and Bobby Cantrell; her mother and father-in-law Bill and Barb Marcum of Fort Gay as well as many extended family members and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Farley officiating burial will follow at the Sartin Family Cemetery in Fort Gay.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home Chapel after 11:00 am until service time.
