Phillip Shannon

1949 – 2016

Phillip Shannon, 67, of Catlettsburg, Ky. passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

Phillip was born February 20, 1949 in Louisa, Ky. a son of the late Virgil Lee and Zelphia Lyons Shannon. Phillip retired from Special Metal after 42 years of service.  Phillip was known for his sense of humor, and love for his children and grandchildren, and everyone knew how much he loved cars. Phillip will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Kenneth Shannon.

Survivors include, children, Tonya Shannon Keaton (Ora) of West Jefferson, Ohio; Trena Shannon Ferrell (Tim) of Louisa, Ky.; Keri Shannon Delvecchio (Jordan) of Catlettsburg, Ky.; Corey Shannon of Catlettsburg, Ky; Casey Shannon also of Catlettsburg, Ky.; brothers, Harold Keith (Becky) Shannon, William Glen (Sandy) Shannon, Matthew (Renee) Shannon, Bobby Shannon and Ronnie Shannon; sister, Nevondia Jean Price; sister in law, Linda Shannon; grandchildren, Brittni Keaton (Tim) Myers, Briana Keaton, Brookey Keaton, Kendra (Aaron York) Boyer, Nicklas Boyer, Liam Ferrell, Zayne Delvecchio, Zoey Delvecchio, Kynnzlee Shannon; great grandchildren, Kaden Myers, Kyson Myers and Hunter York; wives, Wilma Shannon of 26 years and Malinda Shannon of 19 years.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Fyffe officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, Ky.

Visitation will be 6:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Young Funeral Home.
