Emma Jane Wheeler-Salyer

1930 — 2016 

Emma Jane Wheeler-Salyer, age 86, of Louisa, KY passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home.  Mrs. Salyer was born March 26, 1930 in Blaine, KY to the late Morgan and the late Gypsy (Thomson) Wheeler.

Mrs. Salyer was preceded in death by her husband, Bertell Salyer, one daughter, Brenda Salyer Moore, and one grandson, Michael Fitchpatrick.  

She is survived by four daughters: Pamela Salyer Bell of Louisa, KY, Sandra Salyer Moore of Fallsburg, KY, Carla Salyer Fitchpatrick of Clifford, KY and Sara Marie Salyer Potter of Fort Gay, WV, and five sons: Samuel Bert Salyer of Toledo, OH, Douglas Salyer of Louisa, KY, David Irvin Salyer of Beaver, OH, Paul Thomas Salyer of Louisa, KY and Donald Eric Salyer of Louisa, KY, two sisters: Georgia Wheeler and Lydia Wheeler Salyer, and one brother, Morgan Wheeler, Jr.. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with a host of friends and family. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 on Friday, September 30 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Hinkle officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family Friday, September 30 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Wilson Funeral Home. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
