Lawrence Co. Head Coach Kelly Chapman

COACH’S COMMENT

“…I can’t honestly pinpoint one girl out in the victory, I thought everyone played well, our communication was so much better on the floor and it the key to our success.” Hopefully we will continue our team success in the Paintsville tournament this weekend.”

LCHS GIRLS GOLF off to great start

 Darby Chapman and McKenzie Goble

Louisa, Ky. —  The girls golf team from Lawrence Co. made up of Darby Chapman and McKenzie Goble won individual matches vs Raceland at Eagle Ridge last week.

Goble won by 10 strokes and Chapman by 2 strokes. The girls traveled to Diamond Links on Tuesday night to play against Fairview and Boyd Co. and both girls won individual matches as well. Darby shot a 61 and Goble a 62.

The girls will travel back to Diamond Links on Thursday night to face Raceland and Fairview.

Darby Chapman and McKenzie Goble both freshmen have been playing well for the Lawrence Co. golf team.

Lawrence Co. Golf coach Brian Akers

COACH’S COMMENT

“… They have played really well. Keeping ball in play and staying away from penalty strokes. Both girls have been putting in a lot of practice time and it has really paid off. They drove the ball great tonight and kept themselves out of trouble off the tee.”
