One of the day's big moments came when Brittany Ramey sand this song in memory of her son Blake who died in a tragic dirt bike accident last weekend.

It was a perfect evening for a Cruise into the past, the weather was amazing, the cars were beautiful and our townfolk cruised the night away.

Angela Spradlin took her turn at the Kareoke boothThere were cruisers from the 50’s to the millennials that were completely new to the scene, yet eager to experience what their parents had experienced as teenagers.

Some sang karaoke, some checked out the hot rods, while others set up chairs just to be a part of the scene and watch. They had food, music and of course great company.

A special thanks to Suzanne Pannell- Moore for doing a wonderful job organizing the event and seeing it through. I believe our town would agree. Beyond excited to “Cruise” again, looking forward to many more.

By all accounts those who came to cruise had a great time and all thanked Suzanne for all her effort in putting it

together.

Amy Maynard Thompson was one among the crowd.  “I love getting out and seeing the old cars, seeing friends that I haven’t spoken to in years, reminds me of the good ole’ days when all we ever did was cruise the plaza,” Ms. Thompson said.

Event organizer Suzanne Pannell-Moore left a message for all the Cruisers on her FB page:

“…Just wanted to take a second to thank everyone for attending the cruise Saturday and making it a wonderful success. Thanks to the members of Sweet Run for the awesome show.
