The former Cardinal conference rivals met twice last season with the Rebels coming away victorious both times including a state semifinal win to knock the Miners out of the playoffs.

Logan Presley had 92 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Rebels, Derek Meredith had 79 yards on the ground and Jonathan Johnson added a score in the 4th quarter.

Tolsia had 14 penalties for 120 yards. Mingo Central had 4 penalties on the night.

The Rebels will be off next Friday night and will be in action on Sept. 16th at Westside.

Tolsia Head Coach Mike Smith

COACH’S COMMENT

“… Not a very good performance to say the least. Gonna have to get better if we’re gonna be a contender.”Did a poor job of tackling plus you can’t have double digit penalties and turn it over like we did and have much of a chance to win.”
