Fred W. Jackson

1947 – 2016

Fred Walter Jackson, 68 of Fort Gay, West Virginia passed away at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

He was born in Fort Gay on October 2, 1947 to Garland and Julia Robertson-Jackson.  He was a self-employed carpenter as well as having retired from the railroad. Fred also attended the Oak Grove Church in Fort Gay.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Judy Dean.

Left behind is a loving family including his wife Beatrice Caudill-Jackson of Fort Gay, WV; one daughter Susie Warrix, of Frostproof, FL; two sons Bill and Teresa Morehead of Louisa and Fred and Oatha Jackson of Fort Gay, WV; six sisters Dorothy Wheeler of Asheville, Ohio, Wanda Blankenship of Fort Gay, WV, Kathy Robertson of Louisa, Fannie Russell and Betty Jackson both of Wayne and Connie Climer of Asheville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Oak Grove Church on Paddle Creek with Pastor Mack Ray Cyrus officiating, burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery in Fort Gay.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the church on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6-9 pm.

Young Funeral Home in Louisa is in charge of arrangements.
