Louisa, Ky. — For the first time in ages the Cal Ripken baseball league in Louisa has a team of 13-15 year olds that are playing a competitive schedule against teams in the surrounding areas. Names The Redlegs, the team will play home games on Don Brumfield Memorial Field at Stella Moore.

The team has been practicing for a month and a half and will play games against teams from Kentucky and West Virginia. Buffalo, C-K, Tolsia, Wayne in W. Va. and teams from Ky like Russell, Boyd Co. and Johnson Co. 

This Lawrence Co. team will give kids a chance to play during the summer and get them ready for Middle school and High school baseball in the future.
