Meth Ring Indicted, Sex Offender Back In Court

The Lawrence Co. Circuit Court Docket was full on Friday, May 27th with the Indictments taking down a Meth Ring, Sex Offenders failing to register and an accused murderer filing motions.

Once again Jack David Smith, of Inez,  was present in court for motion hour with a motion to be moved back to Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Though the case was reset for June 10th, it is apparent that this will drag on with several motions after the change of venue from Inez, Ky.

 

All of the meth ring were arrested together cooking meth and arrested including Roger Webb, Matthew Webb, Christina Lowe, Joseph Lowe, Alyssa Roberts, Billi J.Webb, David Thompson, Wayne Reynolds, Jonathon Mills, Shirley Vincell.

The enhancing charge Persistent Felony Offender has become all too familiar as the revolving door continues to turn while many citizens are outraged that they are allowed back out. 

James G. MooreJames Moore, 64 of Webbville, Ky. Was present in court on Failure To Comply With Sex Offender Registration and Persistent Felony Offender charges. Moore has been held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center since January and his hearing was reset for June 24, 2016.

 

 

 

Michael Bailey Michael Bailey, 38 Was sentenced on the following charges: 2 years on Complicity 1st° Possession of Cocaine 1st Offense,   3 yeas on Complicity Attempt/Obtain Controlled Substance by fraud/ false or statement/forgery, while Tampering With Physical Evidence was dismissed, the defendant was given 5 years unsupervised probation for Complicity to Use or Possess Drug Paraphernalia, 1st Offense. 

Alexis Carter, 26 Was arraigned on Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her case is set for Pretrial on 6-24-16. Defendant was Appointed a Public Defender.

Scott FisherScott Fisher, 45 Was arraigned on 3 different cases. The first charges were 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. The second set of charges are Tampering With Prisoner Monitoring Device, Escape 2nd Degree, and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st Degree. On the 3rd  case he was arraigned on charges of 1st Degree Bail Jumping and Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree. Pretrial was set for 6-24-16. Defendant was appointed a Public Defender and bond remains at $15,000 cash.

 

 

Billy GreeneBilly Greene, 41 Was sentenced on the following charges, Complicity 1st° Possession of Cocaine 1st offense (3 years) Attempt/Obtain a Controlled Substance by False Statement/Forgery (3 years) Tampering with Physical Evidence (3 years) Complicity Possession of Marijuana (90 days) Complicity to use or possessed drug paraphernalia 1st  offense (12 months) Public Intoxication Controlled Substance, excludes alcohol (90 days concurrent) Probation Supervised Probation. Defendant was granted 9 days of jail credit.

Justin Harless, 29 A trial date was set for August 8, 2016 on the charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense.

Jason Kelly, 42 pled  guilty to the charges of Tampering with Prisoner Monitoring Device, Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (on foot) and Resisting Arrest. Final sentencing will be on 6-24-16.

Sharon King, 52 A trial date was set on August 10th, 2016 on charges of Complicity Of Tampering with Physical Evidence.

William King, 57 A trial date was set for August 10th, 2016 for the charge of Complicity of Tampering with Physical Evidence. 

Justin Kirk, 21 Pled Guilty on the following charges: Complicity Tampering with Physical Evidence, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree- Police Officer, Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree, and Theft by Unlawfully Taking over $300. He will be sentenced on 6-24-16.

Wade Leedy, 21 Was arraigned on charges of Burglary, 1st Degree and Assault, 1st Degree, pretrial was set for 6-24-16.

Diane LemasterDiane Lemaster, 52 Was picked up on a bench warrant after missing court on charges of Trafficking in A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree first offense, Trafficking in Marijuana Less than 8 oz. 1st offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She remains lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Ctr. on no bond hold. Hearing set for June 10, 2016.

Christina Lowe, 27 Was arraigned on Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16.

Joseph Lowe, 32 Was arraigned on Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16.

Jonathan D. MillsJonathan Mills, 37 Was arraigned on Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense, Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) Possession of Controlled Sub. 1st Degree 1st offense (Methamphetamine) Complicity to possess Drug Paraphernalia, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree. Pretrial set for 7-8-16.

Nathaniel Pack, 33 Was present for a Probation Revocation Hearing, hearing was reset for 6-10-16.

Wayne Reynolds, 23 Was arraigned on Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16.

Alyssa Roberts, 27 Was arraigned for Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16 and a Public Defender was appointed. 

Stephen SlayersStephen Salyers, 47 Charged with Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd or Greater offense, Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified) and Complicity 1st Degree Possession of Cocaine, 1st offense, Complicity Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Persistent Felony Offender was in court on a motion for bond reduction from $50,000. Motion was denied and defendant remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Ctr.

David Thompson, 57 Was arraigned on Complicity to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense. Pretrial set for 7-8-16

Melissa Thompson, 40 Charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense was set for Jury Trial on 8-8-16.

Shirley Vincell, 29, Arraigned on Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Complicity to Possess Drug Paraphernalia. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16 and Defendant remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Ctr. On a 20,000 cash bond.

Matthew Webb, 32 Was arraigned on Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense and Persistent Felony Offender. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16. Defendant remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Det. Ctr. On a 30,000 cash bond.

Roger Webb, 39 Was arraigned on Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st offense, Tampering With Physical Evidence and Persistent Felony Offender. Pretrial was set for 7-8-16 and the defendant was appointed a Public Offender. Bond remains at 30,000 Cash and he remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Det. Ctr.

Paul Pierre Williams, 29 Pled Guilty to Theft By Unlawful Taking and will be final sentenced on 6-24-16.

Regan YoungRegan Young, 43 Was sentenced on 6 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and received 3 years on each to run concurrently , Burglary 3rd Degree (3 years) and Theft by Unlawful Taking (12 months) Persistent Felony Offender enhances 1-7 to 7 and a half years to serve. He was given 243 days of jail credit. 

Billi J. Webb, 26 was arraigned on Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense. Defendant was appointed a Public Defender and was set for pretrial for 7-8-16.

Jeremy Fleshman, 26 was arraigned on Receiving of Stolen Property under $10,000.  He was appointed a Public Defender and set for pretrial on 6-24-16.

Jason Short, 37 was arraigned on Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense and Persistent Felony Offender, Fleeing and Evading Police 1st offense, Wanton Endangerment 1st degree. Defendant was appointed a Public Defender and is set for pretrial on 6-24-16. Bond remains at 10,000 cash and he remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Ctr.
