Booth nails 7 threes to lead OnPoint Swish to blowout win, earns player of the week honor

Inez, Ky. ––  Carla Booth hit 7 three pointers in a 104-69 victory for WABA’s OnPoint Swish over the Atlanta Angels last Saturday at Martin Co. High School. 

The Swish improved to 5-2 on the year and the Angels dropped to 1-5.

Every player that played scored for the Swish led by Booth who went 7 for 8 from three and finished with 23 points, Kennedi Stacy added 15 points, JaVonna Layfield tallied 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Dasia Thornton scored 14 points and tallied 7 rebounds, Makayla Epps and Taylor Pearson had 10 points each, E’moni Washington had 6 points, Courtney Gillman-Fletcher had 5 points, Ri-Chiel McGraw scored 4 points and Victoria Dunlap chipped in with 2 points. 

OnPoint hit 14 of 40 three point attempts and 9 for 11 from the free throw line. 

The Swish was supposed to play at Gastonia this past Sunday but the Greyhounds forfeited. 

OnPoint ( 5-2 ) will host the Greensboro Kaos ( 3-3 ) on Saturday at the Hazard Memorial Gym tipoff set for 6:00.
