A Pike County, Kentucky woman has been charged with the federal offense of producing child pornography.
The case originally all began with a child porn investigation in the state of Missouri, where a Park Hills, Missouri man was arrested for possessing and promoting child porn and sexual exploitation of a minor. The man told police he had received sexually-explicit videos from a Kentucky woman and her daughter, who he believed were to be 18 years old.
The police found the videos, as well as the emails which contained them. That allowed them to trace the videos back to Pamela Denise Chapman Sargent, 43, of Kimper, Kentucky.
Missouri court records describe two of the videos, which allegedly show Denise Sargent engaging in sexual acts with two children, believed to be between the ages of 3 years and 5 years old.
Denise Chapman Sargent has initially been charged in federal court with one single count of producing child pornography, and will most likely face an indictment on state commonwealth charges, after the case is presented to a Pike County grand jury.
Denise Sargent was arrested on Wednesday, July 3, by Kentucky State Police Post 9 troopers and U.S. Marshals; and is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville..
