OHIO COUPLE AND GEORGIA MAN WHO OUTRAN TROOPERS IN FLOYD COUNTY AFTER DANGEROUS HIGH SPEED CHASE ARE LATER FOUND IN PIKE COUNTY, GET BUSTED ON DRUG TRAFFICKING & OTHER CHARGES

THREE OUT OF STATE DRUG TRAFFICKERS CAUGHT IN PIKE COUNTY, KENTUCKY: AHMAD MOORE, 25, OF AKRON, OHIO; NAVAEH A. TWITTY, 20, OF AKRON, OHIO; & DEAN BLAIR, 23, OF SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA. ALL OF WHOM WERE BUSTED SHORTLY AFTER FLEEING FROM KY. STATE POLICE IN FLOYD COUNTY, WHERE THEY TOSSED DRUGS FROM THEIR CAR.

An out-of-state trio who led police on a super high speed chase in Eastern Kentucky that initially ended when police terminated the pursuit due to the very dangerous and reckless driving of the suspect and his companions, were later found by chance a couple of hours later in Pike County, with all suspects taken into custody.

Kentucky State Police Post 9 troopers attempted to pull over a Kia Optima in Prestonsburg, KY., in Floyd County, just after 4:30 A.M., Thursday morning, only to have the car speed away instead. The vehicle traveled south on U.S. 23 at speeds over 120 miles per hour.

At Ivel,KY., police saw someone toss a package out of the car. Officers later retrieved the tossed package and found it to contain between 3 and 4 pounds of meth inside, along with an ounce of fentanyl.

Just before the car reached Pike County, KY., the driver shut off the car’s lights and moved into the northbound lanes, narrowly missing several oncoming cars.

Police called off the chase due to the danger involved, but later found the car parked in a driveway at Shelbiana, KY., in Pike County. Inside the car were three suspects, who were identified as Ahmad Moore, 25, of Akron, Ohio; Navaeh A. Twitty, 20, of Akron, Ohio; and Dean Blair, 23, of Snellville, Georgia.

All three suspects were arrested and charged with the following:

Ahmad Moore was charged with:

SPEEDING 26 MPH OR > SPEED LIMIT,
FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),
WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE,
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,
RECKLESS DRIVING,
TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
AGGRAVATING TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE > = 28 GRAMS FENTANYL,
TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

Navaeh A. Twitty was charged with:

FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,
RESISTING ARREST,
TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
AGGRAVATING TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE > = 28 GRAMS FENTANYL,
TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

Dean Blair was charged with:

* FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),

* POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,

* RESISTING ARREST,

* TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

* AGGRAVATING TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE > = 28 GRAMS FENTANYL,

* TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

All three suspects were transported to and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, KY., where they are being held each on a fifty thousand dollar ($50,000) full cash bond only.
