Louisa, Ky. —  Soon to be senior Eli Fletcher has committed to play baseball at Transylvania University in Lexington to continue his academic and athletic career.

Transy is Division 3 and plays their home games at Legends Stadium in Lexington. The Pioneers went 34-14 last season and hosted the regional tournament.

Fletcher led the Bulldogs with .469 batting average, had 46 hits including 19 doubles, and 2 home runs, 32 runs batted in and scored 40 runs from his leadoff spot.

Fletcher was also named 58th District player of the year and landed on the 15th Region All-Tournament team as well and helped the Bulldogs to another 20 win season.

Fletcher will be majoring in Business Marketing at Transy.

Eli Fletcher

“ After exploring my options Transy felt like the best fit for me. It helps that they play on one of the best fields it Kentucky. Transy also provides an education with amazing opportunities for me in the future.”

“ Lawrence County was truly a blessing for me. Not only did the baseball program make me a better player, but also taught me lessons for life. Coach Feltner along with all the coaches held our teams to a higher standard. I wouldn’t be the person I am today, if it weren’t for the coaches or the program.”

“ First none of this would be possible without God. Blessed me in more ways than I deserve. My parents and family for always believing in me, taking me to games, and always pushing me to be my best. My coaches and teammates for helping me improve no matter the conditions. And Jacob Fletcher for ways I can’t even describe.”
