BSCTC Celebrates Going Pro Signing Day with PMC

Prestonsburg, KY. In a significant step towards empowering students to pursue rewarding career opportunities, Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) hosted a Going Pro Signing Day in collaboration with Pikeville Medical Center (PMC). The event symbolizes BSCTC’s and PMC’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and employment, particularly within local communities.

Utilizing TRAINS funding, PMC partnered with BSCTC to offer specialized training for Operating Room (OR) technicians. Following the successful completion of the program, Pikeville Medical Center extended employment offers to all participating students, marking a pivotal moment in their professional journeys.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our students and partner, PMC,” said Dr. Denise King, Provost of BSCTC. This collaboration shows our dedication to equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s workforce.”
