TOLSIA BASEBALL VICTORIOUS OVER VAN ON SATURDAY

Van, W. Va. — The Tolsia High Baseball team pounded out 20 hits and picked up win number one on the year with a 18-10 victory Saturday afternoon.

Briar May and Brayden Rogers 

Every Rebel starter had at least one hit led by twins Hayden and Hunter Pennington who had six hits including a triple, four runs batted in and crossed the plate seven times.

Luke Williamson had three hits including a double, drove in six runs and scored once, Gage Dawson had three hits and scored a run, Blake Stull had two hits including a double, one RBI and scored once, Brody Caudill had two hits and scored twice, Brayden Rogers had two hits, one RBI and one run scored, Bray Mollette one hit and two runs scored. 

Jeremy Vanhoose picked up the win in relief and offensively he singled, drove in one and scored twice.

The Rebels will be back on the road for section games on Monday against Buffalo and Tuesday versus Sherman before hosting Belfry on Thursday.

“… Finally, Like I told you last week we were getting close. So proud of our guys for hanging in there and fighting through the adversity all year long. This bunch is resilient that’s for sure. Great section victory for our program.”

“… It doesn’t get any easier for us with Buffalo and Sherman on the road early in the week, but we will keep fighting and trying to improve each time out.”
