A 32-year-old Kentucky woman has been charged after she shot her young children to death in their home, according to police.

Tiffanie Lucas, 32, was booked into the Bullitt County Detention Center and charged with murder after her children, ages 6 and 9, were found with gunshot wounds in the family home, local station WLKY reported .

Citing police documents, the station reported that a neighbor was the person who found the blood-soaked children in a bedroom, with a gun near the bodies.

The two children were transported to a local hospital, but died of their injuries a short time later, according to the WLKY.

Lucas was arrested shortly thereafter.

No other details about the case were immediately known.

Another neighbor told the station she was shocked by the news, and she had seen the children just days before at the bus stop.

“It makes me sick, just thinking of any kid getting hurt or possibly losing their life — it’s just devastating,” Amanda Magnis told WLKY.

The look on her face says it all.

I’m sorry, but I guess I don’t know what you mean by that. I can’t tell if it’s a look of hatred (which could be inward or outward) or a look of sorrow or something else. This is by far one of the most tragic things I’ve ever read about in this area. But this article is so extremely vacant of very important details. Do not mistake intent. There’s nothing that could justify this woman’s alleged actions (not defending, but article doesn’t say jack). However, to do these do these poor souls justice, the full truth of the matter must be uncovered. Inside that woman’s look is the truth. I pray she unveils it before appropriate judgements are delivered. And if she is guilty of these crimes, may she live a long time behind bars to regret them. But the truth will help those who loved those children on their path through the stages of grief and eventual healing.
