Kelly Bob Nix, 62, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Kelly Bob was born July 20, 1961 in Huntington, WV to the late Harry Norman Nix, Sr. and the late Lorena Dowden Nix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Terry Eugene Nix.

Survivors include two sisters Linda (Jack) Thomas of McArthur, OH and Kandi Lee Brumfield of Fort Gay, WV; one brother JR (Mary) Nix of Fort Gay, WV; his life companion Mary Elizabeth Dean of Fort Gay, WV; four step-children Mitchell Dean, Ramonya Lemaster, Jennifer Kierbow, Gretchen Graves, and several step-grandchildren. Kelly Bob was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

Kelly Bob was retired from working as a utility contractor with Thayer Power and Communication. Kelly Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, working, and spending time with family and friends. Kelly Bob was a lover of Tolsia Rebel Football and was a proud member of Rebel Skydome.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Nix Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Nix and his family.
