4.A.1.  Dr. Fletcher has provided information and Mrs. Gauze has provided the design for a flyer that will be used to continue to inform the community about the details surrounding the double nickel tax.  (Flyer provided.)

4.A.2.  As discussed by the Board, each Lawrence County School’s staff members will have the opportunity to showcase the great things going on in their building during a regular monthly board meeting (October, November, January, February, March, and April).

4.A.3. Mrs. Webb has scheduled a workshop with UK Next-Gen for the development of performance descriptors for our Portrait of a Graduate.

4.A.4. Mrs. Janelle Brojakowski was selected as an ambassador for the GoTeachKY initiative by the Kentucky Department of Education.

4.A.5. Dr. Fletcher chaired the second meeting of the Appalachia Region Advisory Committee on Friday; the group has identified teacher recruitment/retention, mental health (students/staff), workforce development, chronic absenteeism, and family engagement (kinship care) as priorities in the report to the USDOE.

4.A.6. The recent meeting of LSAC included decisions on the cut scores for state accountability and input on two regulations concerning liability insurance provided by school districts for employees and general program standards for secondary career and technical education programs.

4.A.7. The Louisa Middle 8th grade girls basketball team won the conference tournament championship and the LCHS boys soccer team won the first 15th Super-Regional Tournament.
