Dr. Fletcher, LC Superintendent, LC Board of Education members, and LCHS vocational instructors and administrators were in attendance.

The new facility will become the new home for the carpentry and JRTOC programs!  A new agricultural greenhouse will also be included in this construction project!  A big thank you goes out to the KY School Facilities Construction Commission for providing the funding for this project through a grant in the amount of $9,280,350!

We are excited for the completion of this project, to house and support our growing vocational programs in Lawrence County.

KY School Facilities Construction Commission, hmmmmmm. 9mil might a went a decent ways towards louisa west. Why we rasing taxes again….. so much money gets spent on all this other stuff but yet Louisa West is such a priority for the county. Hard for the everyday taxpayer in the county to understand why their taxes need to raise. Just seems like fake turf, sports, and voc additions are more important than an elementary school. I guess all kids would do there is get educated. Maybe their right this other stuff is more important.

Louisa west and fallsburg school are falling down and you can build a 9.2mil facility for the high school??? Like fallsburg has no intercom its so bad out there. The old elevator sounds like a wrecked car!
    Fix what needs fixed!!!

So much money is wasted on sports. We want quality education and decent school buildings for the kids. All this money on sports but no maintenance on the school buildings. Shame on the BOE. This isn’t for the kids future. Very few will go on to play games once they get out of school. They need and deserve a good education. Explain how maintenance can be ignored on the schools?
Anyone voting listen up: If you vote a straight ticket the vote on the tax bill will not be counted. You can vote a straight ticket and have it count but you have to mark each candidate individually and the tax ballot. This is per Chris Jobe and a poll worker I asked about this.
