Freddie Jay Thompson, 74, of Louisa, KY passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. Freddie was born November 17, 1948 in Louisa, KY to the late Wilburn Thompson.

Freddie proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a retired logger and an avid supporter of Lawrence County Football.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Thompson; sister Bernice Thompson; and brother Roger Thompson.

Survivors include his children Tanya (Terry) Scarberry, Christel Cummings, Sabrina (David) Rasnake, Amanda (Gordon) Endicott, and Douglas (Amanda) Thompson; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brothers Clayton Thompson and Kenneth Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr, Thompson and his family.
