New Christian Preschool Now Accepting Students
The Millard School Preschool
Preschool is one of the most important stages in a child’s development. For most, it is a child’s first exposure to school and it often sets the tone for the rest of their education.
The Millard School is pleased to announce the preschool is a state licensed daycare provider for three and four year olds. As a licensed daycare provider, not only does The Millard School provide the very best environment, but also a Christian preschool experience with a solid academic foundation.
TMS Preschool students build a strong foundation for academic learning as they learn language, numbers, and the world around them.
“Preschool helps socialize children, builds language and math skills, while developing fine and gross motor skills,” said Director Virgie Jordan. “We have openings and are ready to enroll children for the 2023-24 school year.”
All learning at The Millard School Preschool is taught through a Biblical worldview. Education is used to bring children closer into fellowship with God, develop a Christ-like mind, and develop their God-given potential.
Children are taught Biblical stories and concepts. They practice applying the character qualities we teach in their daily activities, including opportunities for serving others. Children also participate in chapel each week, singing and praising God.
In addition to learning about core school subjects such as language and math, preschool students develop fine motor skills through everyday activities that involve coloring, cutting, painting, writing, and more. Children enjoy exercise and learn to control their movement at recess and in teacher/child-directed games.
In preschool, children develop social and emotional skills through everyday activities. We teach children to have and demonstrate concern for others, seek help to solve problems and be open to new experiences.
“The benefits of sending children to a Christian preschool is they are learning from a faith-based perspective,” added Jordan. “Obtaining a well-rounded preschool education, and receiving the nurturing of their character each day.”
At TMS, the goal is to give children the skills they need to thrive in the world. Creating daily opportunities to learn through a Christian worldview while building the foundational cognitive, emotional, and fine motor abilities that will help children succeed throughout their lives and ultimately live out their God-given destiny.
