MARTIN COUNTY DISTRICT COURT:

INEZ, KY.: Martin County District Judge John Chafin heard the following cases Monday, June 5; and Tuesday, June 6; in Martin District Court:

John Michael Cornette (arraignment) — No operator’s/moped license: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial 9/12/23 at 9 a.m.

George A. Dalton (motion hour) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine): Set 6/20/23 at 10:30 a.m.

Gene Gartom (arraignment) — Public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Pleaded guilty, 30 days, probation two years on condition defendant has no new violation of law and completes outpatient treatment, pay cost. Show cause 12/5/23. Review 6/20/23 at 9 a.m.

Heather Kasey Howard (arraignment) — Public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol); possession of marijuana; drug paraphernalia-buy/possession: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial 6/20/23 at 9 a.m.

Justin Marcum (arraignment) — Unlawful imprisonment, second degree: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial 8/15/23 a 9 a.m., bond amended, no unlawful contact, complete outpatient treatment through ARC.

Dewey Maynard (arraignment) — Possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine): Bench warrant $5,000 cash.

Rodrick Catlin Mollette (arraignment) — Drug paraphernalia-buy/possession; public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Bench warrant $500 cash.

Derek Jay Moore (arraignment) — Resident fishing without a license/permit: Order.

Tammy Stepp (arraignment) — Possession of marijuana; public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol); possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified); controlled substance prescription not in original container, first: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial 6/20/23 at 9 a.m.

Shawn David Workman (arraignment) — Violation of air pollution standards and rules: Preliminary hearing 6/6/23 at 10:30 a.m.

Rosanna Bowen (arraignment) — No operator’s/moped license; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first: Pretrial 8/15/23 at 9 a.m.

Carlos Barton (pretrial) — Failure to wear seat belts; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first; no/expired registration plates: Failure to appear.

Caleb M. Costa (pretrial) — No/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance; failure to produce insurance card; improper registration plate; no operator’s/moped license; improper equipment: Failure to appear.

Lester Finley (review) — Public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Defendant is compliant, review upon motion of Commonwealth.

Jackie B. Haney (pretrial) — Criminal trespass, third degree: Dismissed.

Jackie Bryan Haney (pretrial) — Criminal trespass, second degree: Pleaded guilty, 90 days, probation two years, consecutive with 23-M-57, on conditions that defendant completes inpatient treatment through ARC, follows all ARC recommendations and has no new violation of law. Cost waived.

Jeremy Jarvis (pretrial) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: Failure to appear.

Jeremy Jarvis (pretrial) — No/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first; failure to register transfer of motor vehicle; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; improper parking firelane/block traveled portion of highway: Failure to appear.

Ronnie Mills (pretrial) — Operating motor vehicle under influence of controlled substance, first: Dismissed, lab results in file.

Virgie Scott (pretrial) — Theft of services: Two-year diversion, pay restitution to Martin County Water District, $351.77 payable through Circuit Clerk’s Office in monthly installments of $25. Review 12/5/23 at 9 a.m. for status of restitution, DCPT 6/25/23.

Ronnie R. Mollett — One-year diversion on condition he completes outpatient through Horizon. Pay cost. Review 7/3/23 for status of treatment, DCPT show cause 6/4/24.

Carol J. Davis (preliminary hearing) — 1. Trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense amended to attempted trafficking in controlled substance, third degree; trafficking in controlled substance, third degree, first offense: Pleaded guilty, 12 months, probation two years, no new violation of law, cost waived.

Matthew Ryan Gooslin (preliminary hearing) — Improper registration plate; no/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; convicted felon in possession of a firearm; possession of marijuana: Commonwealth to proceed with Rocket Docket.

Christopher Maynard (preliminary hearing) — No/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first; convicted felon in possession of a firearm: Bound over to grand jury.

David Mordukhaev (review) — Fugitive from another state warrant required: Set for BFH 6/20/23 at 10:30 a.m.

Haskell B. Mills (pretrial) — Trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense; Trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense; traffic in marijuana, 8 ounces to 5 pounds, first offense; drug paraphernalia-buy/possession; possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified); failure to or improper signal: Bound over to grand jury.
