MARTIN COUNTY DISTRICT COURT:

INEZ, KY.: Judge John T. Chafin heard the following cases May 25 in Martin District Court:

Shane Boyd (arraignment) — Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first; no/expired registration plates: Failure to appear.

John Thomas Dabe Jr. (recall FTA) — 1. Operating vehicle with expired operator’s license; 2. No/expired registration plates; 3. No/expired Kentucky registration receipt: 1. Dismissed in exchange for plea; 2. Pleaded guilty, $25 fine, cost, show cause 11/7/23; 3. Dismissed in exchange for plea.

George A. Dalton (arraignment) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine): Bench warrant no bond, must see judge.

Jonathan Alden Ellis (arraignment) — Speeding 19 mph over limit: Order.

William D. Fannin (arraignment) — Resident hunting/trapping without license/permit (two counts): Order.

Ricky Goble (arraignment) — Possession of controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine): Bench warrant $5,000 cash.

Jackie B. Haney (arraignment) — Criminal trespassing, third degree: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 6/6/23 at 9 a.m.

William R. McCoy (arraignment) — No tail lamps; no operator’s/moped license; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first: Reset 6/19/23 at 9 a.m.

Robert M. Moore (arraignment) — Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, first offense; criminal mischief, second degree: Pleaded not guilty, transfer to Division II. Defendant has other cases set for this date. 7/25/23 at 10 a.m.

Jonathan Allen Perry (arraignment) — No/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: Failure to appear.

Christopher Tyler Preece (arraignment) — Speeding 19 mph over limit: Failure to appear.

Jeffrey Preece (arraignment) — Public intoxication of controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Bench warrant $250 cash.

Ralph Whitaker (arraignment) — 1. License plate not legible; 2. No/expired registration plates; 3. No/expired Kentucky registration receipt; 4. Improper display of registration plates; 5. Registration and title requirements vehicle not to be operated on highway; 6. Improper registration plate; 7. Failure to wear seat belts; 8. Failure to produce insurance card; 9. Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first: 1-2. Dismissed; 3. $25 fine, cost, show cause 11/7/23; 4. Dismissed; 5. Pleaded guilty, $25 fine; 6-9. Dismissed, proof shown.

Aaron Lee Fairchild (arraignment) — Speeding 26 mph over/greater: Failure to appear.

Jamie Lee McNeely (motion hour) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 11/21/23 at 9 a.m.

Taylor Howell (pretrial conference) — Receiving stolen property under $500: Conditionally dismissed after two-year diversion, follow court orders, no new violation of law, DCPT 5/25.

Ruby Preece (pretrial conference) — No/expired registration plates; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; failure to produce insurance card: Failure to appear.

Nathaniel Lee Maynard (pretrial conference) — 1. Theft of services; 2. Menacing: 1. Pleaded guilty, 180 days, probation two years, no new violation of law, complete inpatient treatment through ARC, restitution $59.80; 2. Dismissed in exchange for plea, restitution to be paid by 12/31/23, set for 6/20/23 at 9 a.m. for treatment status.

Kristi Dawn Fletcher (preliminary hearing) — Trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense; trafficking in controlled substance, first offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives); possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified): Waived to grand jury.

Robert Moore (preliminary hearing) — Rear license not illuminated; inadequate silencer (muffler); operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense; possession of controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified); trafficking in controlled substance, first offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives): Waived to grand jury.
