FIREBALL WHISKEY CONTAINER FOUND IN CAR OF FORT GAY WOMAN…

Ashley Sara Wright

By Susan Salyer

LOUISA, KY. — The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) received multiple reports of Ashley Sara Wright driving recklessly through multiple locations in the Louisa area. The LCSO followed the above subject after she struck his vehicle twice in the McDonald’s drive through. LCSO stopped the vehicle on KY-32 after seeing no license plate on the vehicle.

When the LCSO made contact with Ashley Sara Wright, 33,  they could smell the odor of alcoholic beverages coming from her breath. The LCSO asked Ashley Sara Wright, if she had been drinking and she stated that she had 2 or 3 shots of Fireball. There was an open Fireball container in the passenger’s seat of her vehicle.

Upon running the subjects driver’s license, it was showing to be suspended and her current address was not the same as the one listed on her license. The LCSO then asked the subject to exit the vehicle in which she did. As she was exiting her vehicle, she almost fell over trying to maintain her balance. Her speech was very slurred as well. Then the LCSO positioned subject in a safe spot to perform standardized field sobriety tests. While attempting the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) Field Sobriety Test the LCSO could not successfully perform the test because Wright kept talking, closing her eyes and looking around.

Walk and turn tests indicate: Operator stopped walking; did not touch heel to toe; stepped off the line and used arms to balance.

Ashley Sara Wright, 33, Fort Gay, West Virginia

Just curious as to why if she struck the LSCO vehicle twice in the McDonalds drive through then why didnt they do something right there instead of following her to 32?
And its Obvious why she didnt render aid or assistance.
