Property on the right side in the photo will soon be the sire of an 8 store strip mall if the sale is approved by county attorney.

The recent decision by Ky Power and Liberty Utlities to terminate their agreement will not adversely impact Lawrence County Economic Development, Lawrence County Economic Development director Vince Doty said.

Vince Doty

“The fiscal court has been told by AEP representatives that everything will remain the same and we will have the same working relationship as always,” Doty told The Lazer. “The sale termination will have no affect concerning the Ebon business locating at the power plant site.”

Bitcoin has plans to move to the Ky Power property bringing as many as 100 jobs. See Lazer story about Bitcoin HERE.

###

At its last meeting, the Lawrence County Fiscal Court discussed the sale of LC Industrial Park property which will be used for a strip mall across from the Immediate Care mall.  Martin Leasing of Louisa, Kentucky was the high bidder at $40,000, Doty said. The sale is not complete until county attorney Johnny Osborne can look over the details.

Plans include an eight store strip mall on the property, Doty said.

###

Doty said today that he will have details concerning a KPDI Grant in May.

KPDI is a collaboration of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and the Kentucky Association for Economic Development (KAED). In all, $100 million is available through various funding rounds to help transform sites and infrastructure to generate increased economic development opportunities and create jobs.

100 jobs would be temporary construction jobs and not all at time. By the way China has banned these companies from doing business there. We are being took.

Hey come on now, you never know if we get another Republican governor the general assembly might be suckered in giving away another $15 million or so.
And as we all know Bitcoin is the way of the future, once someone figures out exactly what it is, and for $15 million I’ll be glad to look into it.
    #republican suckers

They’re about fifteen years too late to get into bitcoin. It may take 100 employees to build a well air conditioned warehouse to hold a bitcoin farm, but it’ll only take 1-2 people per shift to operate the facility. They’re mostly fully automated and just need someone there incase a computer goes down. This will either turn out to be a scam or never turn a profit.
