KY AG COMMISSIONER RYAN QUARLES VISITS LOUISA…

By Susan Salyer

On Friday March 10, 2023, Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles visited Louisa, Kentucky. Quarles came to support our local FFA chapter and 4-H programs. Lawrence County was #1 in Kentucky in sales of agriculture license plates.

Louisa Officials attending included Judge Exec. Phil Carter, Deputy Judge Vince Doty, Magistrate Rick Blackburn, County Attorney Johnny Osborne, Tourism Commissioner Wes Kingsmore and County Clerk Chris Jobe, Crystal, Mike and Dylan.

A Special Thank You to Ray Moore for bringing his Allis Chalmers tractor, you see Ryan Quarles driving at the Lawrence County Court House, Downtown Louisa, Kentucky in our video.

Boyd, Carter, and Lawrence Counties collectively raised $6,620 from #AgTag donations last year!

“It was a great day stopping in to visit their county clerks yesterday to spread the word on how the Ag Tag Fund Program benefits the future of Kentucky ag,” Quarles said on Twitter.

Refreshments were served for all those attending the special occasion.

Here’s your reminder to donate $10 when renewing your farm license plate this year. Your donations go back to our county to support these local programs!
