On Monday, March 6th, Congressman Rogers will be in Morehead and Ashland for three events that are open to the public.
At 11:00am-Noon in Morehead, he will announce federal funding for Morehead State University. The event will be held in the CHER building across from St. Claire Hospital on the 1st Floor in the DeMoss Suite.
At 2:00pm-3:00pm in Ashland on Broadway Square, local officials from the City of Ashland and Boyd County are hosting a welcome celebration as the 5th Congressional District now encompasses the City of Ashland and all of Boyd County. During the redistricting process, Kentucky’s 5th Congressional District expanded from 30 counties to 33 counties, adding Menifee County, Wolfe County, a portion of Bath County, and expanding his service area in Boyd County from the Catlettsburg area to the City of Ashland and the entire county.
At 3:00pm-4:00pm in Ashland, Congressman Rogers will personally host an Open House for his new district office opening at 341 16th Street in Ashland. Congressman Rogers, who also serves as Dean of the House, currently has offices in Somerset, Hazard, Prestonsburg, Washington, DC…and now Ashland for the first time. He believes this office is necessary to better serve individuals in the northeastern region.
