KIRSTEN A, DURHAM, 23, AND JOHNATHON K, DURBIN, 32, BOTH OF MOUNT VERNON, KY., WERE ARRESTED BY STATE POLICE AFTER BEING INDICTED BY A ROCKCASTLE GRAND JURY FOR THE DEATH OF A 7-MONTH-OLD INFANT IN AUGUST 2022.
A Rockcastle County woman and man were arrested separately earlier this week in connection to the death of an infant last summer.
According to the Kentucky State Police Post 11, in London, KY., in Laurel County; on Friday, January 27, 2023, the Rockcastle County Grand Jury returned an indictment as a result of an extensive investigation relating to the death of a seven (7) month old infant in Rockcastle County. This investigation began on August 2, 2022.
KSP Post 11 Lead Detective James Royal recently presented this case to the Rockcastle County Grand Jury, who returned indictments on the infant’s mother, Kirsten A. Durham, 23 of Mount Vernon, KY., and her then-boyfriend, Johnathon K. Durbin, 32 also of Mount Vernon, KY.
Both Kirsten Dunham and Johnathon Durbin have been indicted on one (1) count of: *MANSLAUGHTER 2ND DEGREE; and one (1) count of: *CRIMINAL ABUSE 2ND DEGREE-CHILD 12 OR UNDER.
Both Kirsten Dunham & Johnathon Durbin have been taken separately into custody by the Kentucky State Police. Kirsten Dunham was arrested at her residence on February 1, and was lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center in Mount Vernon, where she is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond. Jonathon Durbin was arrested on January 31 in Pike County and was taken to the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville, KY., where he is being held on a $10,000 full cash bond only.
KSP Post 11 detective James Royal is continuing the investigation.
I hope someone kills them I’ll make sure Daviess county inmates and several other detention centers are looking for them in Kentucky jails. This baby needs justice!!
I hope both of them stays under that jail…..in my book she is not no kind of a mother…..7 month old child should have his mother close to him….she is no kind of a mother in my book….hope they rot in that jail….
