Johnny Maynard, 62, of Louisa, KY passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at UK Medical Center.

He was born December 8, 1960 in Martin County, KY.

Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Maynard; brothers Herschel Maynard and Roger Maynard; and nephew Timothy Maynard.

He is survived by his life partner of over 23 years Sue Taylor; parents Mary (Ward) Spaulding and Cleo (Donna) Maynard; sons Michael Donley, Sam Maynard, Robert Donley, and John John Maynard; sisters Arlene Maynard, Bo Wilks, Candy Neuner, and Tabitha Jude; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Johnny dearly loved his family and friends, and they loved him as well. He liked to go fishing, loved his music, having a good time, and making people laugh and smile. Johnny was a good man and will be dearly missed by many. He will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, OH.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Maynard and his family.
