BULLDOGS BLAST MAGOFFIN CO; 2A SECTION TITLE GAME UP NEXT

Eastern, Ky. — Lawrence Co. Girls ( 11-3 ) will play for the Class 2A Section title after beating Magoffin Co. 81-38 Thursday at Floyd Central. 

The Dawgs have won five games in a row and will play in the Class 2A Section 8 championship game for the second consecutive time. 

Sophie Adkins had 12 points in the semifinal victory over Magoffin Co. 

Twelve different Bulldogs scored led by Miss Basketball candidate Kensley Feltner with 23 points, Sophie Adkins tallied 12 points, Abby Nelson added 10 points, Leandra Curnutte netted 8 points, Jada Patton chipped in with 6 points, Addison Bloomfield had 5 points, Kaison Ward, Emmalee Holt, Caroline See, Emalyn Kitts and Madison Artrip had 3 points each, Abby Maynard had 2 points. 

Leandra Curnutte looks to make a pass in a game earlier in the year. 

Lawrence Co. hit 8 three pointers from Seven different players and went 12 of 16 from the free throw line. 

The Dawgs will play Boyd Co. ( 11-2 ) Saturday night at 6:00 at Floyd Central. 

The Lions defeated Pike Co. Central 66-56 on Monday and Floyd Central 75-63 on Wednesday.
