JOHNSON COUNTY, KY WOMAN ARRESTED BY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER HER INFANT TESTS POSITIVE FOR METH
HARRISON COUNTY, KY. WOMAN ARRESTED BY STATE POLICE ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER HER TODDLER FOUND UNRESPONSIVE, LATER DECLARED DECEASED AT HOSPITAL
A Johnson County, KY. woman was arrested last week by law enforcement authorities after her very young infant tested positive for methamphetamine.
According to the arrest report, Social Services had been investigating a report that Lavanna Tackett, 28, of Paintsville, KY., had been allegedly using drugs in her home with the infant present. After a blood test revealed the presence of meth in the ONE MONTH OLD infant’s system; Johnson County deputies were called by Social Services to the home of Lavanna Tackett to investigate the case further.
During a search of the home, deputies discovered small amounts of meth, heroin and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.
Lavanna Tackett was arrested and was charged with seven (7) criminal offenses, which were as the following:
- POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE
- (METHAMPHETAMINE),
- POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
- PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER
- 1ST OFFENSE, *ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR, *POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
- NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES.
Lavanna Tackett currently still remains lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where she is being held on a $500 full cash bond. If Lavanna Tackett posts her bond, she has been ordered by a judge to be taken into a drug rehabilitation center.

KSP POST 6 CONDUCTS DEATH INVESTIGATION OF VERY YOUNG CHILD IN HARRISON COUNTY
VERY DESPICABLE MOTHER NUMBER TWO: BAILEE M. THORNSBURY, 22, OF CYNTHIANA, KENTUCKY.
A Harrison County, Kentucky woman is in deep legal trouble after emergency personnel and police responded to a residence where a toddler was found unresponsive and later declared deceased at a hospital. The child’s mother was found in possession of narcotics in the vicinity.
According to the press release statement by the Kentucky State Police Post 6, in Dry Ridge, in Grant County, KY., they were contacted by Harrison County Dispatch for assistance, involving the Harrison County Ambulance had been dispatched to 166 Horseshoe Drive at 12:05 A.M. in reference to an unresponsive 14 month old child.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and Cynthiana Police were also dispatched to the scene. The child was transported to Harrison County Memorial Hospital where the child was pronounced deceased by doctors at 12:40 A.M.
KSP Detective Josh Wise from Post 6 was called to the scene to conduct a death investigation. Through his investigation at the residence narcotics were located.
As a result of this, detective Wise arrested Bailee M. Thornsbury 22, of Cynthiana, KY., who was the mother of the child, and she has been charged with five (5) criminal offenses, which were the following:
- POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
- TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 10 D.U. OPIATES),
- DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
- WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.
Bailee Thornsbury was transported to and lodged at Bourbon County Detention Center in Paris, KY. She is being held on $50,000 full cash bond for each of her five charges. Additional charges could be pending the state coroner’s report.
Drugs are infused in America now more than ever. Joe Biden is allowing China to get these drugs in through Mexico and into the back door of America.. I don’t think the drug problem is Biden s fault. The drug problem is bipartisan. It crosses all socioeconomic groups. One thing is for certain is this area is in the grips of it. The methamphetamine problem is worse than the opioid problem. Since it is entirely impossible to obtain opioids easily they have turned to

What’s needed is more support for the addicts so they can get into treatment.

I think all of you are right. Drugs in America is a complex problem. Yes, it did start way back in the 80’s and the government made a lot of noise about stopping it, but did little else. Biden’s open borders has added to the problem allowing drugs, guns, human trafficking, and criminals come right on in. The treatment centers that exist are not affordable to most. There is much work to be done. Getting the govt to Really be on board would be a good first step

The drug problem does not lie at the feet of any one person or one president. A completely open border DOES make the problem worse but even with a more strict border, the drugs were only slowed down. Yes the problem goes way back. And the lure of $$ corrupts many people including politicians, border agents, mayors, police, CIA, FBI, foreign countries etc. Money is made by turning the other cheek. Hook a country on drugs and they are more easily conquered. Weak people give into the lure of drugs. This is chemical warfare and part of a goal to destroy the sovereignty of the United States of America.
Clearly our current president and past presidents do not take the drug epidemic seriously or the US would not be supplied with drugs from other countries. At the end of the day…someone is allowing the drug problem to grow since the 80s. Big Pharmaceutical companies is our biggest enemy.
