On Thursday September 1, 2022 The Louisa Rotary Club #3773 District #6740 enjoyed a weekly scheduled meeting at the First Baptist Church in Louisa, Kentucky 41230 from 12-1PM.

Louisa Rotary President Harold Slone led the meeting, welcoming Rotarians and Guests. The Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and The Four-Way Test were led by several different Rotarians. President Slone asked if any Rotarians had a birthday or anniversary this week. Three members proceeded to the front celebrating Birthdays, Jodi Parsley, Ginger Copley and Chris Jobe, ages not provided (LAUGHING OUT LOUD).

President Slone then asked if anyone had a comment or question before the guest speaker is called.

Superintendent of LC Schools, Dr. Robbie Fletcher made several announcements including Homecoming 2022 this week at LC Schools.  Fletcher also said, “The band director at LCHS has decided to get all current and Alumni of Choir from Louisa High School to current LCHS Choir to participate in singing “My Old Kentucky Home” at Homecoming Friday Night. Practice will be Friday at 5:45 and then performed by all on the LCHS Football Field.

President Harold Slone said, “We have a lot going on in Louisa.  Septemberfest is right around the corner and the Surprise Guest Singer will be announced tomorrow morning, Friday September 2, 2022. Also has everyone seen the new Septemberfest t-shirts?”

President Harold Slone then asked Rotarian Brent Westmoreland to introduce the Guest Speaker for Rotary. Westmoreland introduced Chris Claxton, Relationship Manager at BancCard of America, Inc. Claxton has been employed by BancCard since April 2016. BancCard’s Corporate Office is in Tennessee and it supplies over 600 Banks in 26 states. Claxton went on to explain that it’s possible to get 25 – 30% more in sales. There is an easy set-up for the processor that allows debit/credit card purchases on sight at Louisa Rotary Club functions and events. This gives customers without cash a way to purchase food and souvenirs quicker, so the lines should move faster and is very efficient. Claxton ended the meeting with questions and answers.

The Rotary Club decided to meet after Louisa Rotary Club Meeting to discuss getting this processor set-up.

Louisa Rotary President Harold Slone asked if there were any comments for the good of Rotary. Slone said, “Septemberfest will be the biggest crowd Louisa has ever seen. With the lineup we have, everyone take an extra time out to make sure we watch out for each other and be safe Septemberfest 2022.”

Louisa Rotary Club was adjourned.

The next Louisa Rotary Club Weekly Scheduled Meeting will be on Thursday, September 8, 2022. This will be a Business Meeting.
