8-27-22: Youth League Bulldogs traveled to Huntington, WV this past Saturday

The Lawrence County Youth Football Bulldogs traveled to Huntington, WV this past Saturday to take on the D.C. Express. This was week 1 of the 2022 football season and the road to the Turf Bowl.

Next week, September 3rd, the Bulldogs will host the Vinson Tigers at home. The first game starts at 10:00 AM.

 

The D-team lost 14-0 after a hard fought battle. The young Bulldogs were their own worst enemy, having 2 touchdowns called back in the contest.

The C-team won comfortably 30-12. The Bulldogs were led offensively by Tucker Dixon and his 3 touchdowns. Lucas Block also had a scoop and score fumble recovery and three – 2 point conversions. The Bulldogs led 30-6 before D.C. scored on the final play of the game.

 

The B-team suffered a tough loss 24-0. D.C. scored 3 touchdowns and three – 2 point conversions.

The A-team finished off the day with a 16-6 win. The Bulldogs had touchdowns by Mikie Artrip and Carson Evans. Keagan Muncy added a 2 point conversion and Eddie Chicko had a safety for the defense.
