Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. Soccer kicked off the season Tuesday evening at home with a Doubleheader sweep of Martin Co. who was playing their first athletic competition after switching from Sheldon Clark.

SJ Lycans scored the first goal and then assisted on a Luke Johnson goal off a corner kick. Johnson picked up another goal in the 2nd half. He also connected for a second half assist with Tyler Maynard and then Maynard put the final goal in unassisted to close out the Cardinals.

Jasmine Justice scored the first goal of the game just 23 seconds in to the season with the assist going to Ellie Webb. Sarah Lycans scored the next two goals with assists from Justice and Webb. The 4th goal came from a free kick from about 25 yards out from Webb. Lycans finished the half with her 3rd goal of the match with the assist going to Saibra Moore.
In the tbs 2nd half it was much like the first with Moore getting her 1st goal of the season, Lycans scored her 4th goal of the night from a free kick from about 30 yards out and Autumn Maynard finished out the scoring with the assist Lycans setting the final score at 8-0 SoccerDawgs.
