The front window of papa Johns Pizza restaurant was shot out with pellets early Sunday morning but the glass did not fall until later Sunday when a motorist noticed the damage and called police.

LOUISA, KY. — On November 4, 2018 at 09:46 the Louisa Fire Department responded to a call at the Papa Johns located in Food City Plaza in reference to the report that the front window had just blown out.

After investigating for possible gas leak it was determined that the window was shot at in the early morning hours and had just collapsed.

Louisa Police were called to the scene and began an investigation into the incident. It was determined that several bullets or pellets had been fired into the front windows and door of the business just after it closed early Sunday morning.

Police are gathering video surveillance from neighboring businesses in hopes to obtain a suspect(s).

Case remains under investigation by Chief Greg Fugitt. Any information you may have please call 606-638-4058 or email gfugitt@louisapd.org.

This is why Louisa can’t have nice things.

In todays technological advances with cameras being better than ever before, why is it that footage from video surveillance cameras are about the same quality as those used to film BigFoot? A $49 surveillance system watching over a million dollar business. The camera on my cellphone will zoom in an 8th of a mile and be as clear as a bell, while most of these surveillance cameras can’t decipher a decent image 10 feet away! I saw a video one time where the burglar literally looked into the lens of a surveillance camera but police were still unable to identify him when they reviewed it because the quality was so poor and distorted. Invest in a better system folks. The damage these break-ins cost the owner is usually way more than a decent surveillance system cost. Then again, maybe it was BigFoot who broke the glass out of anger because he felt PaPa Johns was competition for his Bigfoot line of pizza that WalMart is selling on his behalf. 🤣
