1ST DEGREE RAPE AMONG LAWRENCE CO. GRAND JURY INDICTMENTS FOR JUNE

A Lawrence County grand jury met last week and handed up charges against the following: 

Gregory Allen WithamGregory Witham, 34 of Louisa — Indicted on Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree (class D felony). Tampering With Physical Evidence (class D felony) and Resisting Arrest

The Grand Jury charges that on or about February 27, 2018 in Lawrence County the defendant knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of methamphetamine, the defendant knowingly and unlawfully destroyed, removed, altered or concealed evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding and the defendant knowingly and unlawfully disregarded Deputy Mason Kiefer’s commands while preventing the officer, while working in his official capacity, from placing the defendant under arrest.

 

 

 

 

 

Crystal Dawn CordleCrystal Cordle, 46 of Louisa was indicted on 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine, 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Operating A MV Under the Influence of Alcohol /Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 7, 2018 in Lawrence County the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed methamphetamine. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance, namely hydrocodone. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance, namely Xanax. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully tried to destroy, remove, alter or conceal evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate the motor vehicle. The defendant was also in possession of baggies used to store her controlled substances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

William P. LittonWilliam P. Litton, 48 of Webbville, KY. Indicted on Rape, 1st degree (class B felony)

The Grand Jury charges that on or about April 18, 2018 in Lawrence County the defendant knowingly and unlawfully engaged in sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion. Bond is set at $20,000.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Freda DavisFreda Davis, 37 of Chattaroy, OH. was indicted on Escape, 2nd degree and Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd degree.

The grand jury charges that on or before May 13, 2018, The defendant knowingly and unlawfully escaped the custody of the 24th Judicial Circuit Community Corrections program by fleeing her registered residence where she was placed and being monitored on an ankle device, after being placed on court ordered home incarceration as a part of her sentencing conditions from Lawrence Circuit Court.

 

 

 

 

Ricky VanceRicky Vance, 51 of Blaine, KY. Indicted on Bail jumping, 1st degree.

The Grand Jury charges that on May 11, 2018 the defendant knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon conditions that he would subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with felony charge of burglary and wanton endangerment, he failed to appear at that time and place ordered by the court.

 

 

 

 

 Justin W. HarlessJustin Harless, 30 of Louisa was indicted on Tampering With Physical Evidence and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree.

The grand jury charges that on or before March 29, 2018 the defendant knowingly and unlawfully destroyed, removed, altered or concealed physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding. The defendant also convicted of two prior felonies and with the instant indictment is now charged with persistent felony offender.

Justin Harless, 30 of Louisa was also indicted on Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon.

The grand jury charges that on or before March 29, 2018 the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a Smith & Wesson brand 40 caliper handgun after having previously been convicted of a felony.
