Dirt bike accident leaves Blake Ramey in ICU

Blake Ramey is shown here on 4 wheeler, one of his favorite things in life is riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. He was seriously injured riding a dirt bike this weekend.

BLAINE, KY. — On Sunday, August 28th at around 4 P.M. Lawrence  Co. 911 Dispatch received a call of a motorcycle accident in the curve right before Blaine Community Center.

Members of the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department were the first responders to the accident and Netcare Ambulance came soon after and transported 17 year-old Blake Ramey from the scene of the accident to the Blaine Community Center.

Air Evac Lifeteam flew him to the Trauma 1 Cabell Huntington Hospital where he remains in ICU where he is listed in critical condition with severe road rash and head injuries.

Blake is the son of Greene and Brittany Ramey of the Blaine area.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Blake for a speedy recovery. The Lazer will update his condition as it becomes available.
