Stephen Lynn Robertson, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on March 1, 2019, at 5:01 P.M., by officer Frint of the Ashland Police Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:
• ROBBERY, 1ST DEGREE.
How are these people being charged with their 1st offense when they are on this list weekly?
You took the words right out of my mouth! Answer: this judge continually allows these repeat offenders to plead down their charges. The Mullet guy has been on just about every court docket for the last 3 years on basicly the same drug charges and hes listed here as a first offender? Give me a break! How is he even out after the long list of charges recently where he rammed into and injured a police officer under the influence of drugs? This court system is a circus. If im a drug offender who commits crimes, then Lawrence county is where i wanna be busted. I dont know why officers even bother arresting these people knowing how the court system operates. Anywhere else and judge Preston would be removed from the bench for incompetence. Hes actually contributing to the drug epidemic and no one seems to care.
You’re wrong on the judge pleading them down to a lower charge. It’s the county attorney or his assistant that is consulted by the accused persons lawyer. The judge does have the option to accept or reject the plea agreement the attorneys have worked. Usually the judge passes sentence based on the county attorneys recommendation. First blame the county attorneys office then blame the judge.
Actually some of these charges are there very first charges that they’ve ever had it’s arrests and indictments so if they’re on there twice in a row in the same month same charges it’s an indictment and an arrest get your facts right
How many times are they going to arrest Kenneth Stepp before they finally send him to a State Prison for a few years? He is a useless piece of trash. A habitual thief and more. Please Judge., do the community a huge favor and send him away for a long, long time.

Wonder what Maynard’s dad thinks of the Sheriff now. He back him big time last year because others had arrested his son and the SHERIFF had been letting him get away with stuff. Set back and enjoy the ride!!!
