MAJORITY OF NEW CASES ARE AGES 19 & UNDER;
APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW REQUIRED TO GET VACCINE SHOTS AT COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT DUE TO ‘LARGE NUMBERS OF WALK-INS’

The good news: the number of new Covid-19 cases across the majority of Kentucky (and rest of the country) are starting to come down at a moderate pace. But the bad news: the corona virus is still spreading around Lawrence County; and now troubling new infections phase in the past several weeks.
Between Monday September 27 and Monday, October 4; according to the Lawrence County Health Department, there were 116 new Covid-19 positive cases in Lawrence County.
For the last three days ending the month of September, there were fifty-six (56) new COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County for September 27-31, 2021. Twenty-five (25) had been fully vaccinated and were breakthrough cases. Four (4) were hospitalized. Sadly there was another death of a Lawrence County citizen from Covid-19, bringing the county death total to 38
The age ranges of those new COVID-19 positive cases were from an 1 year old infant to an 83 year old person. 46 of the new positive cases were individuals under the age of 60, with whom 16 cases were those under the age of 19.
For the first four days of October, there were sixty (60) new COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County for October 1-4, 2021. Nine (9) had been fully vaccinated and were breakthrough cases. Three (3) were hospitalized.
The age ranges of the newest COVID-19 positive cases were from a 9 month old infant to an 67 year old person. 55 of the new positive cases were under the age of 60, with whom 18 cases were those the age of 20 and under.
As of Monday evening, the total amounts of Covid-19 cases for the pandemic in Lawrence County was: Confirmed Positive: 2,437, Active: 110, Recovered: 2,289, Deaths: 38.
Lawrence County health department officials report that September 2021 was the highest month for new Covid-19 of the pandemic in Lawrence County with a total of 543 new cases, which in one month accounted for 22.84% of the total county’s case count of 2,377 as of the end of September 30, 2021. They stated the majority of new cases are now in the 0-19 age range where they had been in the 30-39 range; and that there have also been 12 additional deaths in the past six months, including 7 deaths under the age of 70.
The major spike of all-around Covid-19 cases in the past month in the county has reportedly caused a very significant rise in local residents seeking to get vaccinations, that has now caused the health department to announce that beginning Monday, October 4, 2021 appointments will be required for COVID-19 vaccines, as they are having trouble keeping up with the amount of walk-ins. The Lawrence County Health Department released a COVID-19 report update on Friday, October 1, with data from the last six months added to the annual report that was reported at the end of March 2021.
The report consisted of several chart graph statistics:

Well, well. Nearly 50% were fully vaccinated and no doubt many more partially vaccinated.
Jenny, do you think vaccinated people can’t get Covid? They can, but most don’t wind up in an ICU, or dead, by most I mean 99%.. If you don’t want the vaccine don’t get it. I would also like to see some facts, other than just you saying it?

I know that vaccinated can get covid and I did get the vaccination after much debating. My issue is with forcing people to get vaccinated. We don’t know the long term effects of it. Some people are very concerned with what they put in their bodies. Just in the last few days a news anchor at wsaz (Amanda Barren) was fired for refusing to be vaccinated. That’s just not right.
